Lewisville Police SWAT Team Puts OPS Edition Cargo Pants Through The Ultimate Test
Product design and feedback are paramount and and important for our No Compromise commitment. With the OPS Edition Cargos we teamed up with the Lewisville Police SWAT team to give them the ultimate test them in and out of the gym.
Grueling training transcends the iron sport into the daily grind of first responders. The lives of police, firefighters and SWAT officers alike, as well as the citizens that they serve, depend on the physical and mental readiness of the first responders.
In an effort to continually improve on product design and functionality, GASP teams up with Butch Steinle and the Lewisville Police SWAT team to 1. Put the OPS Edition Cargo pants to the test in a functional training circuit at destination and 2. Test this item in practical SWAT related events and situations
"We have to respond as fast as possible. We have no idea what is going to happen we have to be ready to handle any of it. If something happens and all of a sudden BOOM - its time to breach the door and kick it in, take over a house/apartment/office we have to be physiologically ready. So getting our heart rate up is good, not only for conditioning but it helps us control our shooting and mentality when it comes time to take action." - Butch Steinle
With the OPS Edition Cargos flexibility and being able to be unrestricted and agile is part of the goal with the design. Double fabric lining in the crotch, groin and knees adds to this ability. Being able to carry ammo, accessories etc. is possible with the two cargo pockets on each side.
"The stretch in the middle is the biggest thing. The biggest problem we have with all the pants we use is the tension we get when we run. With the OPS Edition Cargo Pants I felt no restriction."
"The pants are also tapered for conditioned individuals. Not like the standard cop pants. They are tapered in the right areas."
A big thanks to the Lewisville Police SWAT Team for testing our products in real conditions.
